PTI protest: Schools closed in Islamabad and Rawalpindi today

In view of PTI’s protest at D Chowk, the local administration has announced to keep private schools closed in Islamabad and Rawalpindi today (Friday).

The Islamabad Private School Association has announced closure of schools today in view of road closure.

General Secretary Private School Association Waheed Khan said that the safety of children is our first priority, even yesterday the students were suffering due to the containers.

Meanwhile, All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association North Punjab President Abrar Ahmed has also said in a statement that the educational institutions of Rawalpindi city will remain closed today due to a possible protest in Islamabad.

According to Abrar Ahmed, the decision to close the educational institutions has been taken due to the closure of the roads.

On the other hand, a spokesperson for Islamabad Police has said that all facilitation centers and driving licence offices of Islamabad Police will remain closed today.

The metro bus administration has also announced that the service will remain suspended today in Rawalpindi.

According to the bus administration, the service will remain suspended on the direction of the district administration. The bus service from Saddar to IJP Road will remain suspended while from IJP Road to Pak Secretariat will be opened.

The closure of Faizabad has started on the direction of the district administration. Islamabad Expressway including Murree Road is also being closed.
