Court orders seizure of Zulfi Bukhari’s properties in £190m corruption case

An accountability court in Islamabad on Friday has order the seizure of Zulfi Bukhari’s properties in the £190 million corruption case.

Bukhai is a close associate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and an absconder in the case.

The decision was issued by Judge Nisar Javed Rana on the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking confiscation of Bukhari’s assets.

Bukhari owns a 30-kanal plot and another four-kanal plot in Islamabad.

Additionally, the court ruled that Bukhari’s 1,210-kanal property in the Attock district, including a 91-kanal plot, be confiscated by the state.

The authorities continue to pursue further legal actions against him, as the case unfolds under the scrutiny of anti-corruption efforts in Pakistan.
