KARACHI: Cellular companies have demanded the government to reduce duty and sales tax ratio on imported accessories used in cell phones. They demanded the government to decrease taxes on new connections and equipment so that investment’s speed could be boosted up.
The companies demanded to bring down federal excise duty to 16 percent and advance tax to 5 percent. They said that these measures would help them to make 20 million new consumers by 2020 and 1.1 billion dollars will be added in GDP.
