Rashid Godil’s condition still unstable: Rizvi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi while talking to media over gun attack on party leader Rashid Godil said that Godil’s condition is still ‘unstable’.

Rizvi standing alongside Amir Khan and other MQM leaders maintained that the prime target today was Karachi’s peace adding that he requests all to pray for Godil’s speedy recovery.

He thanked the doctors at the hospital for their efforts to save MQM leader’s life while informing media that doctors are of the view that next 48 hours are important for Rashid Godil.

MQM leader and former MNA Rasheed Godil got severely injured in a gun attack in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area.

Godil’s car was attacked in Bahadurabad when seven to eight motorcyclists opened fire on the MQM leader’s vehicle after identifying him, sources say.

The MQM leader was returning after shopping from a superstore along with his wife.

Rasheed Godial was moved to the hospital, initial reports said that he was shot six times with three bullets piercing in his chest, head and jaw.

His driver Abdul Mateen who too got injured in the brazen daylight attack was soon pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries in the hospital.

Godil is under treatment and doctors are making efforts to save his life.
