Yesterday, in a move to address the economic challenges faced by Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to abolish several ministries that are incurring significant financial losses.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the relevant ministries to submit a plan for the abolition within a week.

The decision is in line with the demands made by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who has been advocating for the abolition of certain federal ministries.

The move came after PM in his maiden address to the nation had vowed to abolish all government departments and ministries that are causing losses to the exchequer.

He stated that the move will save billions of rupees for the country and is a top priority for the government.

The prime minister also constituted a ministerial committee to deliberate on the issue of redundant ministries and departments.
