Three heat waves are expected in different cities of the country during the next 25 days.
According to NDMA, the risk of first heat wave is in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Tindwalayar, Matiari, Sanghar, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.
The NDMA said that during May 15 to 30, the temperature in these areas may reach 40 degrees and the heat may be felt even higher, while this first spell of heatwave may last for two to three days.
NDMA further said that the second heatwave is expected in late May or early June in which the temperature may go upto 45 degrees and will last for four to five days.
The third heat wave is expected during the first 10 days of June and will affect Tharparkar, Umarkot, Sanghar, Badin and Khairpur.
