Google Chrome is the world’s most popular web browser, but it uses a lot of computer memory or RAM to open websites.
As a result, users of Google Chrome often experience slow computers or reduced laptop battery life.
In this regard, the company introduced a feature called Memory Saver in February 2023, which is now being further improved. This feature will give users more control over Google Chrome tabs.
This new feature is being tested in Google Canary (an experimental version of Chrome where new features are tested).
Note that Memory Saver Mode works by ‘freezing’ open tabs in the Chrome browser to save memory.
Google is adding three new options Moderate, Balance and Maximum to Memory Saver.
