QUETTA: Four absconding rebels have surrendered in different parts of Balochistan before the government who were belonging to outlawed Baloch Republican Army, home minister Sarfaraz Bugti said on Monday.
Four rebel fighters surrendered in Balochistan including Abdul Sattar Masoori, Najeebullah, Idrees and Iftikhar who were fled to Afghanistan since 2006, Sarfaraz Bugti said in a press conference in Quetta today. He added that the government welcomed the rebels to be included in the mainstream of national developments in Pakistan.
Abdul Sattar Masoori was closer aide of Brahumdagh Bugti, founding chief of Baloch Republican Army, Bugti added. Masoori has reportedly admitted to run 20 camps across Balochistan while all rebels vowed not to get involved further in anti-state activities. He said that Indian prime intel agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) helped and trained them in Afghanistan.
Sarfaraz Bugti while talking to reporters said that they were saying from the beginning for involvement of Afghan spy agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) and RAW in anti-state activities in Balochistan. He added the federal government has been apprised for ‘no safe hideouts of terrorists exist in Balochistan.’
