Boxing legend Amir Khan and martial arts champion Shahzaib Rind met with the Army Chief Gen Asim Munir.
The meeting took place at the GHQ today, says Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meeting, the Army Chief appreciated the outstanding achievements of both the players in the field of sports.
On the occasion, the Army Chief expressed confidence in Pakistan’s talented young generation. The young generation of Pakistan is endowed with immense potential, he said.
Earlier, mixed martial arts fighter Shahzaib Rind had said it was the government’s bad luck that it did not support its country’s heroes.
He said that if our heroes are supported accordingly, they will become role models for our youth. Rind added that the youth would get motivated when they saw their role models getting appreciated.
The martial art champion said his next target was to become the world champion and in this connection he had already started training.
