LONDON: General elections will be held on May 7th in British. Some voters are demanding to adopt e-voting system or online voting system. They were of view that online voting system is convenient and could increase voter turnout.
They said that many of them handle their banking account, tax returns and pay their bills online, so why they cannot cast their vote online. But security concerns stop UK to adopt e-voting system for upcoming general elections. Before introducing e-voting system the government has to take measures to prevent the system from hackers and other cybercriminals.
UK House of Commons Speaker John Bercow said that he wanted online voting to be adopted in 2020 general elections.
