ATTOCK: As many as 20 people including Punjab home minister Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada and various police officials have lost their lives so far following horrific ‘twin suicide blasts’ occurred in Attock, Punjab on Sunday.
The explosions were occurred during a Jirga underway at Khanzada’s political office in Shadi Khan village when ‘two’ suicide bombers detonated themselves inside and outside the spot.
Shuja Khanzada’s secretary said that the provincial home minister was present in the office and also sustained injuries in the blast. The building demolished following the blast with at least 30 people were trapped under the debris.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident while dead bodies and wounded people were brought out of the debris by special rescue teams and quick response team of the Pakistan Army.
