Maulana Fazl announces consensus reached on judicial reforms

The Jamiat Ulema Islam-F has decided not to become a part of the election of prime minister, president and speaker and will sit in the opposition.

This was disclosed by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman while speaking to the media in Islamabad when asked whether he would vote for the president, prime minister and speaker.

The JUI-F chief said that we will not use the right to vote and will sit in the opposition. The JUI-F will not participate in the election of prime minister, speaker and deputy speaker, he continued.

To a question about taking forward the protest movement, he said that wait, we will represent the people.

To another question regarding the meeting with Nawaz Sharif, the JUI-F chief said that he has not yet met with Nawaz Sharif. A delegation came to me last night which included representatives of Pakistan Muslim League-N, Pakistan People’s Party, Balochistan Awami Party and IPP. We had a good conversation with them, Fazl said.

He added that JUI-F will not participate in this parliament whose result is not in the hands of the people.
