ISLAMABAD: In the talks between the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Iran, it has been agreed to ensure respect for the security and sovereignty of both countries.
In a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart in Islamabad, caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Iran is Pakistan’s friend and neighbor, and has long-standing cultural, religious and fraternal ties with the Iranian delegation. Various matters of mutual interest were discussed.
The caretaker foreign minister said that the strong relations between Iran and Pakistan are important for the development of both countries. Actions are needed and a strong strategy against terrorists is necessary.
Jalil Abbas Jilani said that the high-level agenda is in the interest of Pakistan and Iran. We have invited the President of Iran to visit Pakistan immediately after the elections. Yes, this high-level consultative mechanism will be between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
On this occasion, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian said that there are important fraternal relations with Pakistan, geographical relations with Pakistan are also important, we consider the people of Iran and Pakistan as one nation.
