RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Friday rejected report published by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) regarding tape recording of former chief of prime intel agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), planned for coup in Pakistan.
Director General ISPR (DG-ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa in his recent Twitter message refuted the media and termed it as ‘totally baseless, unfounded and farthest from truth.’
He said that ‘rumours’ being circulating in the media were an ‘irresponsible’ and ‘unprofessional’ move.

Earlier, Pakistan government had rejected alleged statement of Senator Mushahidullah Khan who reportedly levelled allegation on former Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt. Gen. Zaheer-ul-Islam Abbasi for making conspiracy to oust civil and military leadership via coup in Pakistan.
Amid celebrations of Independence Day being observed across the Pakistan, BBC reported that Senator and closer friend of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Mushahidullah Khan, made eye-opening revelations that former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General Zaheer-ul-Islam Abbasi, made conspiracy to oust civil and military leadership via coup last year during anti-government protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
