LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq took a jibe at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Siraj while addressing participants of a protest rally said why are the farmers in the agricultural sector facing hardships? Why did the price of flour reach Rs180 per kg.”
He was of the view that it will be the test of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure transparent polls.
“I will announce my next strategy in line with the JI protest,” he added.
Sirajul Haq said on Monday that the people were facing severe economic hardships due to the red-hot inflation.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Siraj asserted: “The caretaker and former governments are on the same page in line with the kowtowing to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).” He called for pouring on to the streets for the sake of the people’s rights.
“The people are deprived of eating bread two times a day,” he lamented.
He made it clear that his party will stage a protest outside the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor House on September 18.
