After Islamabad, issuance of e-passport has also been started from all passport offices across the country.
It should be noted that the facility of e-passport was provided to the public in June 2023 in Islamabad.
According to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, the fee schedule for issuing e-passport has also been released.
According to the schedule, the normal fee for a 5-year e-passport of 36 pages has been fixed atRs9,000, while the fee for an urgent e-passport of the same number of pages has been fixed at Rs15,000.
According to the schedule, the normal fee for e-passport of 72 pages is Rs16,500 and the fee for urgent is Rs27,000.
The normal fee for a 10-year passport containing 36 pages has been fixed at Rs13,500.
The urgent fee for a 10-year passport with 36 pages is Rs22,500.
Under the schedule, the normal passport fee will remain as before, while this fee schedule has come into effect from August 16.
