Islamabad: Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Umar Atta Bandyal has directed the Election Commission to complete the process of delimitations in a transparent manner.

In the Supreme Court, a case was heard against constituencies in 3 provincial constituencies of Shikarpur district of Sindh. The court referred the matter related to the constituencies back to the Election Commission.

Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandyal inquired that when is the Election Commission conducting the general elections? On which the DG Law Election Commission shrugged its shoulders. The Chief Justice smilingly remarked that no date for the elections has been decided yet.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said that constituencies are a matter of public interest. The issue of constituencies has come up in the Supreme Court several times. In the constituencies, affecting the dotted circle even slightly affects the votes for the candidate from the constituency. The Election Commission should conduct constituencies in a transparent manner.

Chief Justice Ata Bandyal said that sensitivity is high on constituencies in Sindh. It is often heard from Sindh that the constituencies have not been corrected. The Election Commission should resolve all issues before the elections.

The constituencies of provincial constituencies PS 7, 8 and 9 Shikarpur in Sindh were challenged in the Supreme Court.
