ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court rejected PTI chairman’s request to immediately stop the Toshakhana trial.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Mazahar Naqvi and Justice Musarat Hilali heard PTI Chairman’s petition against the Tosha Khana case.
During the hearing, Justice Yahya Afridi said that your petition had become ineffective, yet we heard and ordered, we understand the situation, we thought the High Court would give you a better order.
Justice Yahya Afridi said that first let the High Court decide, then the case will be filed in the Supreme Court. It is possible that the High Court will stop the trial tomorrow. The supervisory jurisdiction of the trial courts belongs to the High Court.
Justice Yahya Afridi said that the Supreme Court had given relief, what more do you want? We have given the relief you asked for, it is surprising that you still approached the Supreme Court.
On this occasion, the lawyer of chairman PTI said that the case is scheduled for hearing in the High Court tomorrow, the real question is jurisdiction, the statement of Section 342 has been recorded in the trial court, the trial court has today to present the list of witnesses. The trial court has said that if the list of witnesses is not given today, the trial will be completed.
