Inspector General (IG) Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari has been transferred.
A few days ago, after the suicide attack in the mosque of Peshawar Police Lines, the federal government had decided to replace IGP Muazzam Jah Ansari.
The Establishment Division was sent a summary of three names for the new IGP, including Muhammad Saeed Khan, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur and Sohail Tajik.
Now, the establishment division has also issued a notification to appoint Akhtar Hayat Gandapur as the new IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Akhtar Hayat Gandapur was earlier posted as Additional Deputy Director General FIA.
As soon as Moazzam Jah Ansari leaves the charge, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur will take charge of his post.
