WASHINGTON: Health officials have found a poisonous plant that could blind people in Michigan. The plant has been found in western parts of the state and is known to cause blister, scar and blindness.
The Calhoun County Public Health Department has found the dangerous plant near Battle Creek and asked that people to keep away from the poisonous plant.
The sap on its leaves, roots, flower heads, seeds and stem hairs can cause blistering and scars if they touch bare skin and if that sap gets in the eyes, it can cause permanent blindness.
