KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday received a letter for issuing a fresh death warrant of death row convict Saulat Ali Khan alias Saulat Mirza.
According to details, a letter for issuance of fresh date to execute the notorious target killer Saulat Mirza written by Mach Jail authorities was received by an ATC in Karachi.
The letter received through Karachi Central Jail demands a fresh death warrant as the extension in Mirza’s previous death warrant will end on April 30, 2015.
Saulat Mirza, allegedly affiliated with MQM was disowned by the party when he unleashed a salvo at his own patrons in a video message aired hours before his planned execution in March.
Mirza’s execution was deferred first on medical grounds but then a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was formed to probe his allegations against MQM.
The notorious target killer amongst his many allegations claimed that he killed the then KESC (Karachi Electric Supply Corporation ) Managing Director Shahid Hamid on direct orders from MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
Mirza’s wife in her several television interviews claimed that the murderer was in connection with several party leaders till he was disowned to be executed in March.
