PESHAWAR: Health officials confirmed polio virus in a six-month old boy in Peshawar city on Friday
The infant, identified as Yasir, fell prey to polio virus after his parents refused to get their child vaccinated against the crippling disease.
The National Institute of Health confirming the polio in Yasir urged the parents to get their children under the age of five immunized against polio.
It is pertinent to mention here that the polio cases have dropped to 70 per cent in Pakistan this year, as only 25 cases were reported from across the country till June 2015.
