KARACHI: Former captain and star all-rounder Shahid Afridi ha said Imran Khan should have sat in parliament instead of on the streets to put pressure on the government.
Shahid Afridi said during the interview that our Imran Bhai had a very big and powerful vision which was great to watch.
But the leader himself does not work, he brings a vision and puts it into practice by his team. Did Imran Bhai have a team that would carry out his vision?
Afridi said that Imran Bhai was a cricketer, and sportsman always make a comeback and backs very strong. It doesn’t happen that I am an angel, I can’t do anything wrong, everyone in front of us is guilty, it doesn’t happen, we are human beings, not angels, we have made mistakes.
He further said that Imran Bhai should have gone to the parliament instead of the streets, where he could have come as a strong opposition. The government would be under pressure and they would do better.
Shahid Afridi also tweeted for the Pakistani people, in which he wrote that the state is far above politics and government. When it comes to the state, it must go beyond any political affiliation and stand with its state and its defense agencies.
