We don't want confrontation with opposition: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the opposition does not have the mandate of the people, it is being imposed on us.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a statement said that Imran Khan will decide on the issue of resignations from the National Assembly and we will all accept whatever he decides.

He further said that most of the members were of the view that Imran Khan should launch a public contact campaign and contest this government in the House but still all the members would accept Imran Khan’s decision.

It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had announced its resignation from the assemblies after a successful no-confidence motion against Imran Khan

He said that he has discussed with the members and most of them think that there should be resistance in the assembly and contact with the people outside.

Earlier, PTI leader and former minister of state Ali Muhammad Khan opposed the party’s decision to resign from the National Assembly.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced its resignation from the assemblies and in the first phase, resignations will be made from the National Assembly.

In this regard, Ali Mohammad Khan said that resignation is the weapon of any politician but at present resignation from the National Assembly means giving free hand to the opposition.

“95% of our members are against resignations,” he said
