ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has said that let’s see who has the courage to vote against Imran Khan.

He added that the opposition is already scared, hoping that the stage of no-trust motion will not come.

Addressing the Overseas Pakistanis Convention, Fawad Chaudhry said that the whole nation has confidence in Prime Minister Imran Khan. Zardari did what Zia-ul-Haq could not do and drowned the PPP in 7 years.

Didn’t Maryam Bibi say that Imran Khan should come before the masses? We had said that 1 million people would gather at D-Chowk. I told Nawaz Sharif and Zardari that even a dog is a lion in his house.

Meanwhile, on the appeal of Chaudhry Shujaat to the government and opposition not to hold meetings to avoid confrontation, Fawad Chaudhry said that Chaudhry Shujaat is a person of opinion. He said that the PTI does not believe in confrontational politics. The purpose of the meeting in Islamabad is not confrontation.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had said that the country cannot afford confrontation.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain appealed to the government and the opposition to cancel the rallies in the national interest and said that the situation in the country could not afford confrontation.

He said that the people affected by poverty and inflation are disturbed by the politics of rallies while it is surprising that the government has also started holding rallies as opposed to the opposition. Political chaos could benefit Pakistan’s internal and external enemies.

The PML-Q chief said that both the parties should not show the way of provocative politics to the workers while for the sake of democracy they should participate in voting without making defeat and victory an issue of ego.

He said that PML-Q has always pursued politics of national interest and those who call us small party have forgotten that we have made big decisions. Despite opposition from others, we have always preferred prudence and conciliation, he added.

The PML-Q chief’s statement came after Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar on Monday termed the coalition party PML-Q as a party of some districts of Punjab and said that Imran Khan a needed of Pakistan.

Addressing the Pakistan Overseas Conference, Asad Umar said that in the 2018 elections, PTI got the highest number of votes in urban areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh. The party also got the highest votes in Gilgit-Baltistan.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is a party of all Pakistanis from Khyber to Karachi across the country while PML-Q is the party of some districts of Punjab, PML-N is the party of GT Road and PPP is the party of Sindh.
