All members will support me on no-confidence, claims PM Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that all members will support him on the issue of no-confidence and there is no need to worry.

A meeting of senior party leaders was held under the chairmanship of PM Imran Khan here on Thursday, in which Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak, Fawad Chaudhry, Farrukh Habib and the legal team participated.

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan discussed in detail the meetings held with the allies in the meeting and expressed satisfaction over the assurances of the allies.

They said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the meeting said that the opposition movement will be thwarted. Air is about to come out of their balloon while Pervez Khattak said that many members of the opposition will support us. We have completed our homework. Let, the opposition be happy for a few days, we will give a surprise to them, Khattak said.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he is not afraid of these high-handed tactics. I have fought this mafia before and I will continue to do so, he added.

He further said that after the failure of the no-confidence motion, he will settle the account of all. The situation arising in Punjab will also be overcome, all members will support me, there is nothing to worry about, Imran Khan said.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Bahadurabad, the temporary headquarters of MQM Pakistan, where he was received by the MQM leadership.

Sources said that strict security arrangements were being made before the arrival of Prime Minister Imran Khan at the MQM Pakistan headquarters in Bahadurabad and the security staff has also searched several members of the assembly.

Earlier, for the first time, the PML-Q had signaled to review its support to the PTI government.

PML-Q MNAs Moonis Elahi and Tariq Bashir Cheema had a second meeting with three ministers yesterday.

The PML-Q leaders made it clear that if 15 to 20 members of PTI joined the opposition by crossing the floor, then it would be difficult for them to support the government in future. We will be forced to join the opposition, they added.

According to sources, on the shocking stance of the PML-Q leaders, the three PTI ministers said that they accept their stance and if our members change allegiances then they will not stop them.

The sources said that in a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister two days ago, Tariq Bashir Cheema had said that if PTI members leave government then they will have to accept the offer of the opposition.
