The PML-Q leaders made it clear that if 15 to 20 members of PTI joined the opposition by crossing the floor, then it would be difficult for them to support the government in future. We will be forced to join the opposition, they added.

According to sources, on the shocking stance of the PML-Q leaders, the three PTI ministers said that they accept their stance and if our members change allegiances then they will not stop them.

The sources said that in a one-on-one meeting with the Prime Minister two days ago, Tariq Bashir Cheema had said that if PTI members leave government then they will have to accept the offer of the opposition.

Earlier today, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan has warned that the assembly membership of PTI MNAs would be terminated if they vote on the no-confidence motion.

Babar Awan has said that if any member of the government votes on the no-confidence motion of the opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan, he will be expelled from the party and also his assembly membership will be terminated.

Speaking on Hum News show on Wednesday, he said that under Article A of the Constitution, if a member of the assembly votes in favor of the other party during the approval of budget or no-confidence, his membership is terminated.

The PM’s aide said that the opposition had failed before and would continue to fail.

On the issue of Qasim Suri, the opposition had asked me for face saving, he added. However, I said this is a constitutional matter, it is not possible now ,to which they had to withdraw the movement, he added.
