KARACHI: Karachi Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon has taken notice of reports of spread of animal disease in cattle farms in the city.
In this connection, the Commissioner has sought a report from Deputy Commissioner Malir.

He directed that the matter should be investigated in collaboration with the Livestock Department.
He also ordered to take immediate steps to prevent the disease.
Memon was of the view that diseases in animals could affect milk supply to Karachi. The transmission of the disease from animals to humans should also be discussed with experts, the commissioner directed to the deputy commissioner Malir.
