TEL AVIV: For the first visit, Israeli President Isaac Herzog has departed for the United Arab Emirates today.
During the visit, the Israeli president will seek to strengthen Gulf ties amid heightened regional tension. The visit is taking place at a time when the world powers trying to revive a nuclear deal with Iran.

The Israeli president is visiting the Gulf state at the personal invitation of Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
