MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Abdul Majid has dismissed two Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) ministers over not detaching from party chief Altaf Hussain.
According to sources, PM Majid had given 72 hours to the dismissed minister to show their detachment from MQM supremo Altaf Hussain.
Both ministers, Tahir Khokhar and Saleem Butt showed faith in Altaf Hussain’s leadership at the end of 72 hours deadline and today (Tuesday) PM has dismissed them.
Earlier, addressing MQM’s Annual Convention in the US city of Dallas via telephone on Sunday Altaf Hussain asked his party workers to stage protests in front of United Nations, White House and NATO and raise a demand for sending their troops to Karachi.
Altaf said, India itself is a coward country, if it had some honour it would not have allowed ‘bloodshed of Mohajirs’ on Pakistani soil. He reiterated the demand for a separate province for Muhajirs.
