LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved to give district status to Murree in the next fiscal year.
The chief minister ordered various measures in the light of the recommendations of the investigation committee of the Murree tragedy.
The investigation team presented recommendations to the chief minister to avoid future accidents.

On the recommendations of the investigation team, Usman Buzdar approved the establishment of the meteorological department’s office in Murree.
The provincial government also transferred and posted several police officers at the hill station.
