Jamadi-ul-Sani moon not sighted; new Islamic month to begin tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad has announced that the moon for Jamadi-ul-Sani was not sighted in Pakistan on Monday evening.

Therefore, he added that the first of Jamadi-ul-Sani would fall on Wednesday, January 5.

He said that due to overcast no moon sighting evidence was received from any part of the country.

He said that the committee members had unanimously declared that the moon did not appear on Monday evening.

The Ruet-e-Hilal meeting was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman attended the meeting of Zonal Committee in Islamabad while the other members joined the meetings of provincial/ district/zonal committees at their respective provincial/ district headquarters.
