Women join JI’s sit-in against LG bill on 4th day outside Sindh Assembly

KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in against the recently passed Sindh Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 2021 continues fourth day outside the Sindh Assembly here on Monday.

A large number of women workers of Jamaat-e-Islami and from various walks of life from all over the city are attending the protest despite tough weather and chilling winds.

Jamaat-e-Islami, women wing, General Secretary Durdana Siddiqui, Deputy General Secretary Atiya Nisar, Nazima Sindh Rakhshandi Munib, Nazima Karachi Asma Safeer and others attended the sit-in.

Addressing the participants of the sit-in on this occasion, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that women have strengthened us by participating in this sit-in today.

He said that the women of Karachi have also come out on the destruction of this city. Women are also facing problems in this city. Today, the women are becoming the voice of Jamaat-i-Islami. He said that the basis of Pakistan’s development is Karachi. Pakistan is indebted today but there was a time when the country used to give loans.

The daughters of this city are in trouble due to lack of transport as they travel to their colleges and universities while standing in buses, he added.
