WASHINGTON: In a historic development, a bill against Islamophobia has been approved in the US House of Representatives.
According to foreign media, Democrats supported the bill against Islamophobia with 219 votes while Republicans opposed the bill with 212 votes.

Under the bill, a department will be formed that will monitor the incidence of Islamophobia. The bill will be sent to the US senate to make it a law.

The development came after the Muslim members of the US Congress last month denounced Lauren Boebert , a member of the House of Representatives belonging to the Republican Party whose Islamophobic remarks came to light.
