LAHORE: PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has strongly criticized former chief justice Saqib Nisar while commenting on the revelations of former chief judge Gilgit-Baltistan Rana Shamim.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, Maryam Nawaz said that the first notice on the revelations of Rana Shamim should have been sent former chief chief justice Saqib Nisar. When an under oath statement comes, the it should be responded under oath, she added.

Maryam Nawaz said that the one who was a liar escaped. Today the third big testimony in favour of Nawaz Sharif has come from within the judiciary, adding that hopefully one day the truth will come out.
Maryam said: “We believe that the wrongdoer is very caught strictly.”
It may be mentioned here that Rana Shamim, the former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan, said in his notorised affidavit that he was a witness to the incident when former chief justice Pakistan Saqib Nisar ordered a high court judge not to release Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz on bail before the 2018 general elections.
