CAIRO: Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta Council has declared the part time marriage as Haram and against the ideology of Islam.
The council issued the statement after a debate sparked on the part time marriage on the social media.
“We should not pay attention to the modern reforms regrading marriage,’ the Dar al-Ifta Council further said.
Linking the process of marriage to modern reforms in recent days is causing confusion, therefore Islam does not allow such laws, it added.
The statement further said that giving a new name to marriage marriage (Nikah Nama) and limiting it to a certain time period make this contract false.
