KARACHI: Muslims across the country are celebrating the Eid-ul-Azha today observing strict SOPs as the cases of Covid Delta variant are on the rise.
Eid prayers will be held at mosques and Eidgahs across the country.
On the occasion, special prayers will be offered for the progress, peace and wellbeing of the country.
In the federal capital, the main Eid congregation will be held at the Faisal Mosque while in Lahore the biggest Eid congregation will be organised at the Badshahi Masjid.
In Karachi, the main Eid congregation will be held at Polo Ground amid strict SOPs.
After offering the Eid prayers, the faithful will sacrifice the animals to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim A. S.
In their separate messages, President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have urged the nation to observe precautionery measures while sacrificing animals and celebrating the festival.
They appealed to the masses to take care of poor and needy on the Eid.
