ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has locally manufactured another ventilator to cater the need of the costly device.
The locally manufactured breathing machine has been given a name of “PakVent-1”.
Ventilator National Engineering Scientific Commission Pakistan has manufactured the machine, which had been approved by the Drug Regulatory Authority (Drap).
While confirming the registration of Pak-Vent-1, Drap chief Dr Asim Rauf said that the breathing machine is available for use after its approval.
“The locally manufactured machine has been registered for a period of five years,” he said, adding the service life of PakVent-1 is 10 years.
He appreciated the manufacturing of medical equipment in Pakistan.
