Pakistan will soon start preparing Covid-19 vaccine: Dr Faisal

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan has said that with the cooperation of China, the process of making vaccines in Pakistan will start soon.

Dr. Faisal Sultan while addressing a press conference here said that the process of coronavirus vaccination of people above 40 years of age is underway from today and the supply of vaccines in the country is being done in a timely manner.

He said that our target is to vaccinate 300,000 people daily and we will get 19 million doses by June while the target is to vaccinate 70 million people by the end of the year.

Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the world’s largest companies Pfizer and Moderna are also finding it difficult to meet the demand while many countries have banned the export of coronavirus vaccine.
