LAHORE: A local court on Monday approved an extension in the bail pleas of PTI leader Jahanghir Tareen and his son till May 19 in the sugar scandal case.
Earlier, a banking court heard the case during which a counsel for the PTI leader said that Abu Bakar Khudabuksh had been made a part of the investigation team. We should be given a chance as we want to be a part of the investigation, he added.
He added that the first information reports (FIRs) were in contradiction of facts. There are so many errors about the amounts in the case, the counsel further told the court.
The lawyer said that once inquiry is completed the FIA may declare that the case can be dismissed.
