LAHORE: PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has rejected the government’s latest offer of using the electronic voting machine in the elections.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the former Punjab chief minister said that the entire world had already rejected the electronic voting system. Besides, the Election Commission of Pakistan has also declared it as an unworkable, he added.

The process of election reforms is carried out with the will and trust of the whole nation, the PML-N leader said. Also, it is possible only after consultation with all the parties, in light of the masses’ opinion and consensus.

Shehbaz Sharif recalled that the PML-N had introduced election reforms after consultation with all the parties including PTI 2018.
