ISLAMABAD: The banned Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has filed an appeal against a ban from the government.

A local TV reported on Thursday that the banned TLP had submitted an appeal to Interior Secretary Yousuf Naseem Khokhar.

The TLP, in the appeal, said that the party was not a terrorist group but a political party registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The party denied the allegations of terrorism leveled against it and appealed for lifting a ban on it.

The sources said that the secretary on the TLP appeal has called a meeting tomorrow, in which the representatives of the Punjab government, law and interior ministries will participate to review the matter.
