Lockdown may imposed in other cities, if situation is not improved, warns Dr Faisal

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Health Dr Faisal Sultan on Tuesday hinted at imposing lockdown in other cities if the coronavirus situation is not improved in the country.

Talking to media, Dr. Faisal Sultan said that the prevailing situation of cities is discussed in the NCOC meetings.

He said that thee government was increasing the capacity of healthcare system every day and are also looking at the oxygen plant of Pakistan Steel Mills. It is also possible to import oxygen from different countries.

Dr. Faisal Sultan said: “We are also monitoring the transfer of oxygen plant. The vaccination process in the country is going on uninterruptedly and lockdown has been imposed in Mardan due to increase in coronavirus cases,” he added.
