ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has questioned if the government had to negotiate with the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) then why it banned the religious party.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the PML-N leader said that the facts had not come to surface whatever happened in Lahore. What promises and claims the government had made, it is unknown, he added.
“Why the TLP had been banned if talks had to be initiated with it,” the former minister questioned. This does not happen in democracy. If the prime minister had the courage he should had made a speech in the parliament, Abbasi added.
