KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has written a letter to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon with the prime subject being their leader Qamar Mansoor’s alleged inhumane treatment by Pakistan Rangers Sindh personnel.

The letter as released by MQM states that Qamar Mansoor’s back is severely damaged as he is being subjected to torture in Rangers custody while Mansoor’s arrest in a raid on MQM headquarters ‘Nine Zero’ has been termed an unlawful act.

The letter further states that Rangers personnel did not admit Mansoor in a hospital in a clear violation of Sindh High Court’s orders.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has requested UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon to intervene in this matter to facilitate the transfer of Mansoor in a hospital.
