DASKA: Polling is underway amidst tight security in the NA-75 by-polls in Punjab’s Daska district here on Saturday.
The re-polling is being carried out today after the declaration of the earlier by-election as null and void by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
A close contest is expected between PTI’s Ali Asjad Malhi and PML-N candidate Nosheen Iftikhar. Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan candidate Khalil Sandhu is also in the run.
Polling had started in the morning at 8am and will continue without any break till 5pm in the evening.
A total of 04.9 million registered voters will use their right to vote at the 360 polling stations set up in NA-75.
