ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday that unfortunately the previous governments had taken loans from which the country was facing burden of more loans.

Speaking at the “Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme” ceremony here, the prime minister said that the banks were not used to provide loans to low-income people. People still face hardships in obtaining small loans from the banks, he added.

Imran said that the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) had completed Kartarpur in a record time and hopefully the work on the flats of Farash Town will also complete in time.

He added that 2,000 apartments would be handed over to those who can never think of owning such flats.

It’s my dream to see people living in slums get ownership rights of property, he further said.
