Special Parliamentary Committee to meet today for appointment of CJ

ISLAMABAD: Due to rising number of coronavirus cases among the officials at the Parliament House, it is being considered to close the building.

Top officials of both the secretariats have contracted the coronavirus. Several sections of the Senate and National Assembly are also affected by the virus.

Sources said that coronavirus cases have been confirmed in several officers and employees and they have been quarantined.

The coronavirus positivity ratio in the Parliament House has risen to more than 30 per cent. The secretaries of both the houses have also proposed to the Speaker and the chairman of the Senate to close the building for two weeks.
