PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Thursday lifted a ban on the video-sharing social networking service TikTok.

The court directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) take action to check uploading of immoral material on social site.

It ordered that the indecent material should not be uploaded on TikTok. PHC Chief Justice Qaiser Rasheed Khan asked to the director general of PTA what action he had taken?  To which, the DG old the court that the issue had again been taken up with the management of TikTok and the video-sharing service had also hired a focal person in this connection.

The PTA told the court that it would monitor if the indecent material is uploaded on the site.
