Quetta: The five-day national anti-polio drive in Balochistan, scheduled for March 29, has been postponed.
Rashid Razzaq, head of the Anti-Polio Cell, told a local TV that a five-day national anti-polio drive was scheduled to begin in all 33 districts of Balochistan from March 29, with all preparations completed. He added that national anti-polio drive postponed.
According to Rashid Razzaq, the postponed polio campaign will now start from April 5.
It may be recalled that government employees of the province have announced a sit-in in front of the Chief Minister’s House in Quetta on March 29 to demand an increase in their salaries.
